Always hire a professional roofer to do your roof

There are lots of large holes and 4-inch gaps in the decking that run the length of the house. As you can see, they covered these gaps and holes with very thin aluminum flashing.

In this picture, they used an extra shingle as a pipe boot, then caulked it to the shingle.

Here you can see the aluminum flashing is off the roof, and the holes and extensive gaps are exposed. Arrows on top pointing down show the large gap in the decking that runs the length of the house. The arrows from the bottom show black decking that has been spray-painted (I believe they used old leftover decking for the roof even if it had holes), while the random arrows pointing up show the random holes in the decking.

As you can see, this is a pretty long home. And the longer the house, the more difficult it becomes to keep your rows straight, which are very straight.

As you can see, the ridge cap is as straight as the ridge of the house, and all the nails in the ridge cap shingles and nailed just behind the tar line.
