More issues on the back of the roof

    Less sunlight causes more moss

    There was actually moss all over this roof but more so on the rear slope as there is less sunlight there  like I mentioned about it on the front, the moss wicks moisture under the shingles causing rusted nails which leads to leaks.     More terrible looking pipe boots

    Once again these pipe boots are ancient and not nailed down again. A picture of a pipe boot on a roof that is dry rotted and very old

    Bad pipe boots.

    These pipe boots are completely deteriorated, and dry rotted. How there is not water just pouring in the house is beyond me.     Misinstalled shingles

    As you can see i put a chalk line next to each union. A union is where two shingles butt up together. These shingles are in rows running vertically up and down the roof. This is a picture of grey shingles with Pink lines on the representing where the edge of each shingle comes to

    This next picture will show you how the shingles are supposed to be installed on a roof. With a 6 inch stagger. This allows the while roof to tie together as one solid congruent unit.
